Let’s get hot and sweaty…and get our AAH Clean-Up done!

Hope all are enjoying this great summer weather! It’s that time again and our Adopt-A-Highway clean-up is scheduled for Saturday, June 26th at 11:00am. If you haven’t been before, this is a great time to come help us out.
The plan is that we’ll meet at the Kroger on Brambleton Avenue (the old Harris Teeter south of Electric Road) at 11:00am on Saturday. After our clean-up, those that helped are invited to Bert & Kevin’s pool to cool off and I’ll be providing some tasty sausage--brats with peppers and onions--chips and soda for our lunch. Be sure to join us for this great morning of doing good for our community, relaxing and eating. A big thank you to Bert & Kevin for opening their home.
Speaking of which, that very same evening Bert & Kevin have opened their home for a pool party for Virginia Mountain Bear members and their guests. The club will be providing hamburgers and hotdogs for the event and we ask that you bring along a side dish. We’ll go free reign with this, so you can bring whatever you’d like--side dishes or dessert.
The party will begin at five o’clock with dinner served around six or six-thirty. Be sure to bring a cooler of your favorite frosty beverage, but don’t forget--no glass around the pool! So if you prefer your beverage from a glass bottle, check for cans or bring a plastic cup.
I hope everyone can join us to get hot, sweaty and then soaking wet! Please be sure to drop me a line no later than Friday, June 25th to let me know if you’ll be attending one or both of the events at jsnpafford@yahoo.com. This will give us the chance to plan better for food on Saturday night.
